A month after a horrific incident in his storage which triggered severe burns, American tv presenter Jay Leno has opened up about what honestly took place that day.

The comic stated in an interview that he used to be injured whilst working on one of his antique cars, a 1907 White Steam Car, in accordance to People.

Me Leno was once injured after the 115-year-old auto burst into flames in his Los Angeles garage. He used to be rescued via a buddy and admitted to hospital.

The 'Tonight Show' host underwent more than one surgical procedures - one of them a "grafting procedure" and was once discharged in late November.

"It used to be a 1907 White Steam Car. The gasoline line used to be clogged, so I was once below it. It sounded clogged and I said, 'Blow some air thru the line', and so he did," stated Mr Leno, speakme about the November 12 incident.

He recalled that the gasoline line made some noise. "And suddenly, boom, I obtained a face full of gas. And then the pilot mild jumped and my face caught on fire."

"It felt precisely like my face was once on fire. Maybe like the most extreme sunburn you've got ever had, that'd be truthful to say," stated Mr Leno, in the interview that is set to air on Wednesday's Today.

The comic stated he remembered to shut his eyes and preserve his breath whilst struggling to get out from below the vehicle. "I'm now not a panicky guy, however I knew if I breathed in I should scorch my lungs. I used to be below the automobile perhaps 10 seconds earlier than Dave pulled me out. Any longer than that I ought to have misplaced my eye," he added.

Luckily, Leno stated his pal Dave Killackey acted fast.

Mr Leno hosted 'The Tonight Show' from 1992-2009 when he used to be changed via Conan O'Brien, a deal that had been in the works for 5 years, and the comic moved to 10pm with 'The Jay Leno Show'.
